MiD was incorporated in September 2000. We specialize in publication ready biological and technical illustration for journal articles, reviews, text books, and research.

Along with pen and ink illustration, we are experts in Mac OS X and Photoshop, Illustrator, Joomla!, html, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Powerpoint, as well as their Mac analogs.

In 2009, we relocated to Atlanta to join the Amphibian Conservation Program at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and Mark currently gives a weekly frog feeding and informal talk in the Fuqua Conservatory lobby every Saturday morning @ 11 am, and is author of the ABG Frog Blog: blog.frogsneedourhelp.org

The illustrations continue, with several recent publications in The Journal of Experimental Biology, Biological Letters, and American Zoologist, as well as the 3rd Edition of The Everglades Handbook published April 2010.

Mark with an expired remora. Dauphin Island, AL

Here is Mark with a friend caught with a hoop net in Hadley, MA.

This snapper weighed in at 38 pounds. Not a small turtle, though they do get almost twice that weight. He appears to be chomping a small piece of muck for security...champ was released later that day
